“Up or Down?” explores the interplay between structure and perception through a dynamic arrangement of geometric steps. The vibrant green and blue parallelograms, set against a bold red background, create a visual tension that invites you to consider direction, movement, and balance. Inspired by the intricate works of M. C. Escher, I was drawn to challenge how simple shapes and colors can evoke architectural rhythm and a sense of motion. The process was especially rewarding as I experimented with color combinations that sharpen the contrast and enhance the artwork’s energetic presence. “Up or Down?” is an invitation to look closely, to question perspective, and to find clarity amid complexity.
