"World on fire"

Lately it feels like the world is going to shit.
This 32 x 32 inches piece, which I call "World on fire", came about as I was thinking of the chaotic turbulence happening around the world.
I saw two people, in a deep, blood-red cloud from which they are trying to get out of, fearing their foreseeable doom. They feel stuck in a never-ending swirl with no escape in sight. As I worked on this I felt the storm, powered by the relentless tide of disheartening stories that leave us feeling helpless. I invite you to pause and let your own interpretation emerge from the depths of your emotions as you are confronted with the unsettling direction our reality seems to be taking. Thank you.
